COOKIES

Cookies must be enabled for the survey to run. If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer v6.0, please ensure that your cookie settings are enabled by taking the following steps:

Internet Explorer v5.x
1. In Internet Explorer, click INTERNET OPTIONS on the TOOLS menu, and then click the SECURITY tab.
2. Click the Web content zone you want, and then click CUSTOM LEVEL.
3. Under COOKIES, click the option you want to use under ALLOW COOKIES THAT ARE STORED ON YOUR COMPUTER.
4. Under COOKIES, click the option you want to use under ALLOW PER-SESSION COOKIES (NOT STORED).
5. Click OK, and then click OK.

Internet Explorer v6.x
6. In Internet Explorer, click INTERNET OPTIONS on the TOOLS menu, and then click the PRIVACY tab.
7. Click ADVANCED.
8. Under Cookies, click ACCEPT UNDER FIRST-PARTY COOKIES.
9. Check ALWAYS ALLOW SESSION COOKIES.
10. Click OK, and then click OK.

JAVASCRIPT

JavasScript must be enabled for the survey to run. If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer v6.0, please ensure that your Internet browser settings are enabled by taking the following steps:

1. In Internet Explorer, click INTERNET OPTIONS on the TOOLS menu, and then click the PRIVACY tab.
2. Click SECURITY.
3. Scroll down until you see the 'Scripting' section. Select the 'Enable' radio button for 'Active Scripting.'
4. Under COOKIES, click the option you want to use under ALLOW PER-SESSION COOKIES (NOT STORED).
5. Click the Yes button in the confirmation window.

POP-UPS

Popup Blockers must be disabled through your Internet browser in order to run a survey.

FIREWALLS

Some firewall software (i.e. ZoneAlarm) can block and prevent you from completing the survey. Please ensure that you have your firewall disabled before attempting to complete the survey.

URL DOES NOT WORK

Please double-check that there are no errors in the URL you have entered into your browser. If you're certain it's correct, there may be a server problem. Occasionally, problems occur with servers that cannot be anticipated. They are usually temporary so please try the URL again later.

INTERNET CONNECTION

The survey includes graphical content which may affect load time. Depending on your internet connection (e.g. 56K dial-up modem, DSL, Cable, etc.), the survey may load quickly or slowly. For example if you are on a 56K dial-up modem, the survey website may take longer to load.

INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDERS (ISP)

If the survey website is not loading, please first see if you can get to other websites. If you are unable to view any websites at all, there may be an issue with your internet service, in which case you may need to contact your internet service provider (e.g. Rogers, Sympatico, Shaw, etc.).

AOL©

If you are an AOL user, AOL internet browsing software stores online graphics on your computer to speed the loading of AOL pages. Over time, unneeded graphics from pages you no longer visit or pages that have changed can fill up your artwork database, reducing efficiency. The files can even become damaged and cause more serious errors. Please take the following steps to prevent a survey page loading issue due to graphics storage:

On the AOL© TOOLBAR, click the SETTINGS icon

On the INDEX tab, click the PERSONAL STORAGE SETTINGS link.

Reduce the MAXIMUM DISK SPACE TO USE FOR ONLINE ART to it's lowest possible setting by clicking the DOWN arrow, then click the SAVE button.

Click the X BUTTON on the upper right corner of the Settings window. Restart the AOL software and repeat the previous steps, but change the MAXIMUM DISK SPACE TO USE FOR ONLINE ART value to its original setting of no more than 60 megabytes, then click the SAVE button.

Click the X BUTTON on the upper right corner of the Settings window.
